ATWJE - Nikki (“Nichole”) North - Real Time Crime Analyst

Episode: 00183 Released on October 30, 2023 Description: Nikki North joins us this week to share how she utilized her forensics investigations degree in her law enforcement career, and how she transitioned from a dispatcher to a crime analyst to the current real time crime center (RTCC) supervisor. Nikki spearheaded the creation of her agency’s RTCC, and has presented to multiple entities, including the IACA Annual Training Conference, on how other agencies can create their own. Nikki’s badge story involves a homicide case that was presented as a burglary first where a boyfriend shot his girlfriend, hid the gun, and claimed it was stolen to police. Nikki and her team’s quick actions led to the boyfriend’s quick arrest. This episode summarizes Nikki’s journey of creating her agency’s RTCC, how she handled transitioning from a colleague to a supervisor, and her involvement with the National Real Time Crime Center Association. Nikki is currently the Real Time Crime Center Supervisor at Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Administrative Vice President of the National Real Time Crime Center Association, & FDLE Certified Analyst.
